Ein Autoklav ist eine Druckkammer zur Sterilisation von Geräten und Materialien, bei der diese etwa 15–20 Minuten – abhängig von Menge und Inhalt – mit gesättigtem Dampf unter hohem Druck bei 121 °C (249 °F) behandelt werden.
